How to prepare a telc Polish B1/B2 presentation: structure and useful phrases
In the second part of telc speaking, choose one of two topics and give a short presentation. Arrange your ideas in a few points and use the questions and images on the task sheet as prompts.
How long is the presentation and what happens?
The official practice test allows 20 minutes to prepare for the whole speaking exam. In part two, choose one of two topics. Your presentation lasts about two minutes, followed by one or two questions from the examiner. The full segment takes about three minutes per candidate.
Questions and images on the sheet can help you develop the topic. You do not have to answer them as separate questions, but you can use them to shape your outline.
A plan for a presentation of about two minutes
Write keywords, not full sentences. That helps you speak to the listener instead of reading. Divide your answer into four short steps:
- Opening: name the topic and say what you will cover.
- Point 1: give your first idea or a personal experience.
- Point 2: add another argument, example, or a pro and a con.
- Closing: sum up your position in one sentence.
Phrases that help guide your answer
Connect sections with simple signposts: „Na początku chciałbym powiedzieć…”, „Kolejna sprawa to…”, „Z jednej strony…, z drugiej strony…”, and „Podsumowując…”. Add a reason to your opinion with „Uważam tak, ponieważ…”. A personal example often helps you develop an argument.
Do not memorise a complete script. If you forget one sentence, it is difficult to return to a recital; an outline of keywords is easier to adapt to a question.
How to answer follow-up questions
Listen to the whole question, answer it directly, then add a brief reason or example. If the examiner asks for a detail, do not repeat the whole presentation. If you did not understand, ask them to repeat: „Czy może Pan/Pani powtórzyć pytanie?”.

Dlatego przed wyjazdem sprawdziłbym godziny otwarcia i połączenia transportowe.
Ciekawe miejsce można znaleźć w przewodniku, na mapie albo pytając znajomych. Ja najchętniej wybieram małe miasta, bo można tam odpocząć i poznać lokalne życie.
Zwykle wolę podróżować z jedną lub dwiema osobami. Możemy dzielić koszty i wspólnie podejmować decyzje, ale nadal łatwo zmienić plan. Podsumowując, podróż poza sezonem może być bardzo udana, jeśli dobrze się do niej przygotujemy.
